In paper and microformats
- Go to the library catalog and click on the periodical holdings tab.
- Search for the journal title, not the title of an article.
- Make sure the library has the year and issue you need.
- Go the Information Desk and fill out a form.
- Take the form to the Circulation Desk.
Online
- Go to the online databases page.
- Pick a database.
- Many subjects: ProQuest, SIRS Knowledge Source
- Encyclopedias and Reference Databases:
- FACTS.com
- A Matter of Fact
- CountryWatch
- Discovering Collection
- Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
- Health: Health and Wellness Resource Center
- Hot topics: CQ Library, Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
- Literary Criticism Resources:
- Contemporary Authors
- Contemporary Literary Criticism
- Dictionary of Literary Biography
- News: Global NewsBank
- Nursing: CINAHL
- Search using different words that describe your topic. Look for database helps.
- Read the record.
- Abstract is a description of the article only.
- Fulltext, PDF, or other terms mean the entire article is online. Click on these words to bring it up.
- Print and email options may be on the upper part of the screen.
